GOOD GOVERNANCE

Leaders in Uganda must be reminded about their duty of accountability not in funds only but also about sustainable development which includes enviromental protection. Leaders have caused enviromental degradation forexample,

Leader in districts have leased (sold) forest reserves private investors who have depleted forests while others have cut natural forests and planted euncalyptus trees forexample in greater Mpingi Disrict .

Leaders in districts like Masaka,Mukono and Buikwe have leased wetlands for industries,swamp filling and agriculture use.

 National leaders like ministers in ministry of water and ministry of enviroment through Uganda land commission have endorsed private takings in wetlands,lakes and forests.Places like Rwera wetland were given to investors on approval of ministers through Uganda land commission.

    Promote knowledge sharing at community and national levels through peer exchange learning events as well as the open knowledge network;

Nurturing civic consciousness through consistent area-wide mass media/rural media campaigns in partnership with media, youths and theater groups. This is intended to un-politicize environmental issues and create greater awareness of entitlements, roles and responsibilities,

Leaders in communties impact on Enviroment and sustainable development.
